I denounce profanity. And profanity is not a monopoly of any particular language or culture. It exists everywhere. Our words reflect us. The kind of language or words we use reflect- our upbringing, our parentage (let me use the word- pedigree instead of parentage), the kind of education we acquired( here by education I mean wisdom)or knowledge we have.
People who have poor vocabulary seek refuge in profanity. It is also the last resort of cowards.
For example, when you say- Get out, it sounds harsh and rude. Instead, when you say- Do you mind leaving the room or Do you mind leaving me alone - you give a crystal clear message in a refined manner.
A human being can be measured by his words and the way he or she uses it. And if parents, teachers and other elders can convey the essence of this, then I am sure, children will abstain from using such so called "bad words".Gowrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01160758876440290419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7051440467177260131.post-61591262532320759982011-04-17T10:27:04.825-07:002011-04-17T10:27:04.825-07:00As long as we teach English to our children we sho...As long as we teach English to our children we should not find fault with they picking up current slag. fuck off is not a bad usage.Ayihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09699195935946100602noreply@blogger.com
